iPhone 8 Hard Reset – When you get your iPhone 8 freeze and you can’t use the phone at all, then you might need to hard reset it. This is a forced reboot step to help you get your iPhone works well again. The iPhone 8 has the same home button type with its predecessor, the iPhone 7. Apple removed the physical home button and change it with a new pressure sensitive button that powers a built-in Taptic engine. This changed the way we hard reset the iPhone. So, to force reboot the iPhone, we use the same step we have on the iPhone 7.
How to Hard Reset Your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus
Step 1: Press and hold the Lock/Wake button and the Volume Down button at the same time. The Lock/Wake button is on the right side of your iPhone, while the Volume Down button is on the left side.
Step 2: Hold for at least 5 seconds until you see the black screen.
Step 3: Wait till you see it on with Apple Logo on the display.
Step 4: Wait until your iPhone boots up completely and displays the Lock screen.
Step 5: That’s it!
Now you have already hard reset your iPhone 8. Please note that you should not do this too often as you may lose your data. Just use this force reboot for an emergency. If you find out that your iPhone 8 freeze too often, then you better contact Apple or take it to Apple store.
