iPhone 8 Wireless Charging – A new report suggests that the iPhone 8 could get up to 15ft wireless charging, meaning that users can charge their iPhone up to 15ft away from a transmitter plugged into the wall. This what may be called the true wireless charging system.

Users won’t need any plate to put the iPhone just like what they’ve already had on their Apple Watch. This next level wireless charging is being developed by Energous. However, there’s no official statement from any party just yet so we need to take it with a pinch of salt.

An earlier report suggests that Foxconn is working on wireless charging for the iPhone 8 but we haven’t heard more detail about it just yet.

The iPhone 8 is expected to arrive next year with new features and new design. Rumors suggest that the next generation iPhone will be the first iPhone to get an OLED display. The phone is also said to lose the home button allowing Apple to get the larger screen while keeping the same size dimensions as the current iPhone flagships. If Apple truly put the next level wireless charging to the iPhone 8, then Apple could possibly win the 2017 phone market.
